The Poetry of Chinese Medicine.
At the heart of Chinese Medicine are the teachings of the Tao (literally translated as “The Way”).
People seek to create a way of life in harmony with nature and with one’s environment.
When we are in harmony with the Tao, the sky is clear and spacious, the earth is solid and full, all creatures flourish together, content with the way they are, endlessly repeating themselves, endlessly renewed.
Chinese Medicine is rather poetic, viewing each of us as organic beings interconnected with Nature and subject to its forces. It is believed that to the degree we remove ourselves from our natural connections is the degree we create patterns of disharmony, which ultimately leads to disease (dis-ease: not having common cause with Nature, our innate nature or the nature around us, resulting in discomfort or stress).
As the Tao discusses practices to cultivate inner calm and peace of the mind,
Chinese Medicine assists you in nurturing physical and emotional harmony through settling
physiological functions and biochemistry into their perfect place.
The integral interconnectedness of body and mind then acts as still water taking the shape of its vessel - these two elements are partnered to produce nourishment, and you, being true to our natural forces.
